Here’s an install of a Dallas air conditioning system with new ducts. The customer wanted a new duct system because of inefficient air flow and some of the duct were falling apart. We installed a new Rheem 4.0 Ton Heat Pump Variable Speed 20 Seer system with an Econet thermostat.
The customer no longer wanted the system in the closet and wanted it relocated into the attic. The new system is much quieter and more energy efficient. The customer now has even air flow throughout the house.
The old air handler was in a closet with the top of the supply feeding the network of ducts. Notice none of the ducts are hung and just laid across the attic. This is improper installation of ductwork and especially flex ducts.
This is a look at the final install of the air handler hanging in the attic. The RHMV Air handler is a 4.0 Ton or 48k BTUH air handler. The supply plenum is on the left and return plenum on the right.
